Only the Strong Survive (Episode 1)

Yeah...sending this one out...to a friend of mine, who has been going through a few things for a minute. This one is dediciated to you - stay up homie! There were tons of official and unofficIal remixes of Mobb tracks during the 90's, without even counting all the pre-mixes and original versions. One particularly nice version, was the official remix of "Survival of the Fittest", with the haunting, echoey sounds and the added touch of Crystal Johnson's smooth singing which mixed in perfectly with the music. This, along with the dope picture cover, was a great 12" to own and a must-have for any fan. However "as long as fiends smoke crack", once the accapella hit, there were bound to be other remixes. Unfortunately a few of these remixes never came out commercially, and in the case of some of them, people didnt even know they existed - let alone imagine how they might sound. And as with the much sought after (but not to my taste) Beatnuts remix of Shook Ones, there also existed other buried remix treasures, including one by another 'Nuts affiliate - the Mighty V.I.C. - who took it upon himself to remix "Survival of the Fittest"... I think its a pity that a lot more of these remixes never got heard. So, ignore the fact that the cassette isnt anything special to look at and take a listen to this one... http://www.divshare.com/download/18588571-44b
